Insect Evolution and Genomics Group

Considering hopping on the veritable thrill ride of working in our group? The main focus of the group's research has been evolution in Heliconius butterflies, although in recent years the study systems have become broader (Helicoverpa moths, tigermoths, black soldier flies). A broad range of research approaches and methods are used from fieldwork studies, behavioural assays, molecular techniques such as genome editing to bioinformatic approaches such as genome assemblies and scans for selection. If you have a project in mind please contact Chris (cj107 at cam.ac.uk) and further information is available in the links below depending on your current stage of research.
